Impressive Drive
Enjoy the power
The powerful air/oil-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine now runs even more smoothly. Though it still draws its 80 kW (109 hp) from its 1,170 cc displacement, it pulls through much better thanks to its flattened power and torque curve in the range between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. This makes rural roads even more enjoyable while also complying with the new Euro 5 standards.
Features for enjoying a safe ride
Feel more alive with every curve
Feel more alive with every curve
The Pro riding modes influence the gas intake and throttle response of your R nineT. “Dynamic” mode makes the engine even more direct and rides on dry asphalt even more dynamic. And the adaptive cornering light lets you lay safely into every bend. This is because it improves illumination of the inner part of the bend up to a tilt angle of 25 degrees.
